The Difference between European Hardware Awards and the EHA Reader Awards is that the first ones are voted and decided by the journalists/editors/engineers that work at the 9 websites making product reviews, and the EHA Reader Awards, it’s the public of those 9 websites who vote once per year on their favorite brands in every category through a survey posted on each of the websites
Nominees on each of the Award ceremonies are announced online and representatives of the technology companies nominated are invited to the ceremony gala. Winners are revealed at the ceremony and every time a winner is announced, they come to the stage to receive the award on behalf of the company they represent. It’s very similar to the Oscars on the movie industry.
On Thursday 1st September, in the main ballroom of the Marriott Hotel in Berlin, the winners of the EHA Reader Awards will be announced at a special ceremony held after the opening of IFA 2022.
Voting for these community awards will begin on Monday 11th July and readers from across Europe will be telling all of the EHA Member Publications which brands they love the most over the course of two weeks.
The European Hardware Association (EHA) comprises nine of the world’s leading technology publications, including Tweakers from the Netherlands, io-Tech in Scandinavia, Geeknetic in Spain, Hardware Upgrade in Italy, HardwareLuxx in Germany, KitGuru in the UK, Cowcotland in France, Lab501 in Romania and PurePC in Poland.
Together, these publications reach over 20 million PC technology buyers every year.
With that massive, pan-European audience, the EHA is uniquely placed to run the biggest community awards survey of its kind for the region. The influencers, early adopters and enthusiasts who read EHA publications on a regular basis, have strong opinions about which brands make the best products. We operate a simple ‘one person, one vote’ system and everyone is welcome to share their opinion.
This will be the first time in more than two years that the European Hardware Association has been able to welcome the industry as its guests to a major awards event. It’s exciting and we’re hoping to see everyone at the Marriott, Berlin at 7pm on Thursday 1st September.
