How the winners are selected

1CHOOSING THE CATEGORIES

The founders of all the publications meet together to analyze the Categories that are relevant for hardware enthusiasts, adding and removing when necessary, coming up with a final list of categories to vote on.

2ROUND 1: NOMINATING PRODUCTS

The full list of categories is sent to the 9 website members of the European Hardware Association. Nominations begin.

3FINALISTS ARE CHOSEN

All nominations are put together. Out of that a list of finalists is put together and made public 1 month before the award ceremony in Taipei.

4ROUND 2: VOTING FOR THE WINNERS

The list of finalists is sent out to the 9 websites of the European Hardware Association. Voting for the winners begins.

5WINNERS REVEALED ON AWARD CEREMONY

All votes are counted. The product with most points on every category wins the award. The winners are revealed and awards given at a Ceremony gala in Taipei, Taiwan, on the evening before Computex.

ROUND 1

Nomination Rules Summary

  1. The journalists and reviewers of the 9 websites are the ones who submit the nominations.
  2. Each website can suggest up to 5 nominated products per category.
  3. Products suggested must have been tested or reviewed by the member website who suggests it.
  4. The 9 member websites submit their nominations anonymously and independently.
  5. The top option on every category for every website is granted to pass as a finalist.
  6. For all other products to pass as finalist, they must have been nominated by at least 2 websites.
  7. Categories where the website did not test or review anything can be skipped.

ROUND 2

Voting for Winners Rules Summary

  1. The journalists and reviewers of the 9 member websites are the ones who vote for the winners.
  2. Voting is based on the experience from testing and reviewing products.
  3. Each member website can spend 10 points on every category.
  4. Categories can be skipped.
  5. All 10 points must be given when voting in a category.
  6. Maximum amounts of points one member website can give to a single product in a category is 4.
  7. Points can be spent unevenly: 4-3-2-1, 1-2-2-3-2,4-4-1-1, etc.
  8. The 9 member websites submit their votes anonymously and independently.
